Clapham/Sulber Nick/ Austwick

Summary

A fairly easy circular walk that you can see the Yorkshire three peaks on a clear day, offering all of the beauty the Yorkshire dales has to offer. There are a couple of lay-bys you can park in, or there is a main part and display visitor’s car park in Clapham. We began by gradually walking up through Clapham tunnel and onto an open paths which brought us towards an area called the Norber Erratics that looks over Ingleborough. The vast area displays miles of rolling hill, offering fantastic views of the Yorkshire three peaks. A great place to stop for food to think and reflect! Onwards from here the path drops down gradually, taking you onto ‘Thwaites lane’. Alone the slow and gradual path, this takes you to the lovely quiet Austwick village, where you can stop for some pub grub at the Gamecock Inn before ending the walk back towards Clapham.
