Lytham St Annes

During the Coronavirus pandemic the lockdown had now been eased slightly and therefore we were allowed to explore further. We decided on heading to the seaside, mainly because we both craved being by the sea and it was a quite open, therefore it is easier to social distance.

It was a warm but dull day with forecasts for the sun to appear at some point during the day, so we took our chances and headed off from Helmshore to Lytham St Annes.

Lytham St Annes is only 2 miles away from Blackpool with sights of the pleasure beach in the distance. It is a quieter part of Lancashire nestled along a picturesque stretch of coastline. We only explored the coastline so we could relax with a coffee in hand whilst enjoying the smell of the fresh sea air. It is a great place to relax and unwind if you want to get away from it all as there is miles and miles of coastline. Because the coastline is so vast, we drove further along to the town of Lytham. Another popular sea town but luckily were able to find quiet spots on the beach as the sun came out.

We ended the day with a nice big ice cream! After all you have an ice cream when by the sea!
