Silsden & Skipton moor

Summary

I wanted to keep it local and thought about exploring what’s on my own doorstep. I didn't pick the best time to go on this hike as the weather was terrible. Cold, windy and very wet. So, if you are going to go on this, I’d recommend picking a dry day!

On that note if you are looking to get off the beaten track this is the perfect hike. You can park up in Addingham and start walking up a farmland track onto open fields which are very easy to follow. It brings you onto a road that you have to cross onto some undulating terrain. This is where I was trapped by sheep as they thought I was a farmer and had food. On the way back the tracks are very open and long, they seem to go on forever, but you have views from all directions so this makes it a bit more manageable.
